The prepared environment

Built around what young children can do for themselves

Our Wobbler and Toddler environment is thoughtfully prepared around what young children can do for themselves. Low shelves hold a carefully chosen selection of Montessori materials, while child-sized tables, pitchers, and trays invite children to pour, transfer, carry, and care for their environment with increasing independence.

At this age, order provides security. Each material has a purposeful place, creating a predictable environment where children know what to expect and can focus on their work. Natural materials, gentle light, and a calm rhythm create a welcoming space where children can move freely, concentrate, and feel at home.

With a 1:4 adult-to-child ratio, children receive the close guidance, connection, and individual attention they need while developing independence.

Ms. Jasmine

Lead Toddler Guide

Ms. Jasmine takes the time to know each child as an individual, meeting them where they are in their development and thoughtfully supporting their next steps.

For Wobblers, she focuses on movement, early language, secure routines, and first experiences with Practical Life.

For Toddlers, she builds on these foundations through more complex Practical Life, language, grace and courtesy, and growing independence. She observes each child closely, prepares the environment, and introduces Montessori work at the right time.

Above all, Ms. Jasmine creates a warm, steady environment where children feel known and secure while gaining the confidence to explore, participate, and do more for themselves.

Ms. Nicole

Assistant Guide

Ms. Nicole works closely with Ms. Jasmine to maintain a calm, orderly, and welcoming Montessori environment where children can work independently. She prepares and cares for the space, keeps materials organized and inviting, and helps maintain the daily rhythm of the classroom.

Ms. Nicole actively nurtures and guides the children throughout their day, offering warmth, encouragement, and gentle guidance while helping each child develop confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging.

Frequently asked questions

Does my child need to be potty trained?

No. Children do not need to be potty trained before joining our Wobbler or Toddler community. Toilet learning is a natural part of the Montessori experience, and we gently support each child as they show signs of readiness, without pressure or rushing the process.

Are naps provided?

Yes. Rest is an important part of our children's day. After lunch, they have a quiet rest period on individual cots. Children are given a peaceful opportunity to rest and recharge before continuing their afternoon.

How do you handle separation?

We introduce separation gradually with a phased-in schedule based on your child's comfort and readiness. Children may begin with shorter days, giving them time to become familiar with the classroom, their guides, and the daily rhythm. As they become more comfortable, we gradually extend their time at school.

Ms. Jasmine will be there each morning to provide a consistent, familiar presence. We encourage a warm, confident goodbye and gently help your child transition into the classroom with care and reassurance.

What should my child bring each day?

Just a few essentials: a packed lunch, water bottle, diapers and wipes if needed, and a labeled change of clothes. Everything else your child needs for their day is provided here.

Can we visit before enrolling?
